The competition

How the pageant works

Miss Africa Minnesota is judged on substance as much as sparkle. Here's the season from application to crown.

1. Apply & interview

Submit your application, then meet the directors for a short getting-to-know-you interview and a review of the season commitment.

2. Orientation & rehearsals

Weekend rehearsals cover runway, choreography, poise, interview coaching and your service platform.

3. Preliminaries

Talent showcase and private panel interview scored ahead of finals night.

4. Coronation gala

Cultural wear, evening gown, on-stage question and the crowning of the new queen and her court.
